Showroom · Full-Time

Furniture Sales Associate

You’re the first person a customer meets. Most of them are furnishing a home they just bought, or replacing a set that lasted fifteen years — it’s a considered purchase, often the biggest one they’ll make this year. The job is to help them get it right, not to close them fast.

What you’ll do

  • Welcome customers to the showroom and understand what they’re actually trying to solve — the room, the space, the budget, the timeline
  • Know the floor cold: frame construction, fabric grades, dimensions, what fits through a condo doorway
  • Prepare quotes, process orders, and walk customers through financing options
  • Handle WhatsApp and phone enquiries — a large share of our sales start there and finish in person
  • Coordinate delivery dates with the warehouse and installation team
  • Keep the floor looking like a showroom — staged, clean, ready

What we’re looking for

  • Retail or customer-facing experience — furniture, jewellery, appliances, automotive, anything considered-purchase
  • Genuinely comfortable with people — patient with the ones who need three visits, warm with the ones who need five minutes
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Arabic or Turkish is a strong asset — a good portion of our customers prefer to shop in their own language
  • Comfortable with a POS system, email, and WhatsApp Business
  • Available for evening and weekend shifts — retail furniture happens when people aren’t at work

Warehouse & Field · Full-Time

Delivery & Installation Specialist

You’re the last person a customer sees, and the one they remember. A set can be perfect in every way and still be ruined by a scuffed wall or a rushed install. This is white-glove work — we bring it in, build it, place it where they want it, and take every scrap of packaging with us.

What you’ll do

  • Load, route, and deliver furniture across the GTA in one of our own trucks
  • Carry pieces safely into homes — stairs, elevators, tight corners, protected floors
  • Assemble and install sofa sets, bedroom sets, and dining sets on site
  • Inspect every piece before it leaves the warehouse and again before you leave the home
  • Remove all packaging and leave the space clean
  • Receive and unload containers, and help keep the warehouse organized between routes
  • Represent Turkhome in someone’s home — respectfully, on time, and in uniform

What we’re looking for

  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean abstract
  • Hands-on ability with basic tools — you can read an assembly diagram and attach legs, headboards, and rails without damaging anything
  • Physically able to lift and manoeuvre heavy furniture with a partner, throughout a full shift
  • Careful by nature. We’d rather a delivery take twenty minutes longer than leave a mark on a wall
  • Conversational English; Arabic or Turkish is an asset
  • Prior delivery, moving, or installation experience is preferred — but we’ll train the right person
  • Saturday and Sunday availability, since that’s when most families are home to receive

How to Apply

No portal, no fifteen-page form. Three steps.

1

Send Your Résumé

Email it to support@turkhome.ca with the role name in the subject line. A few sentences about why you’re interested goes further than a cover letter.

2

A Short Call

Fifteen minutes to cover the basics — availability, experience, what you’re looking for. We reply to every application we receive.

3

Come See the Place

An in-person conversation at the showroom. You’ll meet the team, walk the floor, and see exactly what the job looks like before you decide.

Questions Candidates Ask

+ Do I need furniture experience?

Yes.

+ What are the hours?

Both roles are full-time and include evenings and weekends — that’s when furniture shopping and home deliveries actually happen. Exact schedules are set in advance and discussed at the interview stage.

+ Do I need to speak Turkish?

It’s an asset, not a requirement. Many of our customers prefer to shop in English or Turkish.

+ Is there room to move up?

Yes, and it isn’t a formality. We’re a growing importer with a small team — as the business builds out, senior floor, warehouse lead, and operations roles come from inside first.

+ Neither role fits me, but I’d like to work here.

Send your résumé to support@turkhome.ca anyway and tell us what you do. We keep good applications on file and openings come up.

+ How soon will I hear back?

We aim to respond to every applicant within a week — including the ones we don’t move forward with. Being left in silence is a bad experience and we don’t do it.
